Mystery porsche wheels, know what they are?

Hi guys!

 

This is my first post, I got my first 911 only a few days ago and I love it.  The previous owner told me the wheels on the car are old and rare forged porsche wheels but didnt know much more about them since it was the first owner (the one before him) that had them installed...    Does anyone know if they are indeed oem Porsche wheels and if so what model or style they are?

Thanks Creekman, I wanted a c4s at first but when I saw this one in the metal I had to have it. 996.2 Black on black, stiff chassis option, sport seats, 6 speed, evo v-flow intake and lowered suspension 🙂

Sorry, those are not OEM wheels for a 996 series car.

Yes I know they are not from the 996 "era". 

 

he told me they were from an older generation 911.  they have just been refinished thats why they look new but they're supossed to be kind of old..

At 19" I doubt that...  However what difference does it make...  They're cool looking wheels and probably one of the reasons you bought the car...

Yeah, you are right. I was just curious if anybody knew what they were.. I guess I might have some clue when I change tires.  there might be some inscription on the inside centers or spokes

I am surprised that with all this historical talent on this forum someone hasn't identified your wheels.  I guess that makes them all the more rare and unique.  They look right for your car, good off-set, 19's add to the look and they have a clean design.  What are the tire sizes?  

 

I'm a wheel guy, I think the right wheel can make the car.  Here's mine...  285's and 305's X 19"

They look like Rays Wheels from Japan . Take off and check the back for Man. I.D.

Those wheels look excellent on that c4s, classy yet aggressive, very nice. And can you tell me the name of that little lip around the stock wing? I quite like it.

 

 

I'm not sure about the width of the rims but the tires currently installed on them are 235 and 275 section.  not the fattest tires but I do like a bit of sliding action on the road 🙂

 

I will look into Rays wheels and see if I find a match!

I don't think they are Rays, looked at lots of them and the ones that look the most alike are all 6 spoke 😕

The color and sizes don't really match from what's availble on their website but the shape and lip are pretty much spot on..  I'll have to make sure when I take a wheel off the car but I don't want to do that just to see..  when I do (probably not going to be soon as brakes and tires are new) I'll make sure to report back just for archiving purposes.

 

 

Edit:

I'm not so sure it's them.. the part of the wheel next to where the spokes end on the barrel seem different.. **** these are a real head scratcher.  I might take one off just to check, this is bugging me.

Thank you for trying to find out Creekman!  I greatly appreciate that you took the time to help me 🙂

 

It seems like this is another mysterious part... weird.

 

I checked 996 parts on ebay just for fun and spotted the same little spoiler on a diffuser's listing images.  I asked the seller about it and he just told me the spoiler was 295$ plus shipping but he didnt have a listing or any info about

it 😕 Anyways, I think I'm better off keeping the car mostly stock, but thanks again Creekman.

I have finally found what they are.

 

They are  ALT MIRO TYPE 371

 

19x8.5 and 19x10

 

I have seen some for sale on the web at around 1300$ a set. I've put a ceramic coating on them but they still are a pain to keep clean lol
