Hi all,

Last weekend I put the top down normally, but when I put it back up, the passenger rear window (aka the triangle) did not go up.
I heard an horrible sound of forcing motor on glass.
Stopped pressing the button and tried to interact with the window by itself while pressing on the center switch to simulate the roof presence, but still no luck.
The window motor seems to work as I hear some sound, but the window is not moving.
I've searched on the internet and on this forum and could not find anything regarding how to take the inside panel down to take a closer look at what was happening.
Anyone face that kind of problem before?

Cheers ?

Thank you DBJoe996
I've checked this thread before but my side panel doesn't look like that (don't have the screws and bolts mentioned on the diagram).

Exact model and year of your car, please?

Hi Loren,

I have a 2000 996 soft top Carrera.

Then the diagrams I posted should match your car.

Hi Loren,

Thank you for forcing me to double check..
Finally saw the piece of the puzzle I was missing (The screw was the seat holder, couldn't see it with the seat in a normal position).
Dug as much as I could and now facing a plate with so many screws that I will head to a professional mechanic to avoid screwing it up ?
Best,
Vincent
