Porsche codes

So I fire this thing up and get a massage saying take it to the dealer, so I buy a newer scanner and I have a C1 27 code.....Communication front control unit

Now I cant find any other info on what this is, car runs fine and all systems are working,     any clues guys

Any one have a clue, $230 on a scanner and still no answers, my biggest problem is the closest repair shop is 2 hours away

Quick search led me to another forum. They also had a C127 fault code. There is a control module in the front trunk/bumper area that can fault and give weird issues. Have you recently polished the car? Trunk open OK with release and key? Can the code scanner reset codes?

Hello and thanks for the reply, No I hadn't waxed it and the trunk opens fine, really no issues with the car, the new scanner wont release this code,  and its spose to be one of the best, got it from Pelican

Not sure which code scanner you have. Not all scanners can clear codes or its dependent on the model. Are you a PCA member? Maybe someone in the club has a Durametric Pro / Foxwell NT510/520 or similar setup that can try to clear the code for you. Definitely try to get the code cleared first and go from there. This is a known issue back to when the 997 was first sold.

911urge, im going to buy the foxwell nt510 and tackle this from that direction, I had the Schwaben Pro Scan for Porsche, it came damaged AND wont cancel codes so its going back

Rather than buy yet another OBD II scanner that cannot read or clear many Porsche codes, get the Durametric which is the best you can get for a Porsche short of the PIWIS system?

Durametric is the only scanner worth buying. It can’t do programming but the PIWIS is basically out of reach.
