Was wondering if new Tequip door kit had to be ordered of is it possible to paint beige door pulls and pocket covers?

I noticed that bumperplugs sells the Tequip kit (so that may answer my question) but I was wondering if anybody knew more or has tried to paint 'em.

They are leather covered on my 02 and I recently pull these off to change my silver interior door release. If yours if leather covered, you can't repaint it. These are too easily scratched to be painted IMO. You are better off with leather of CF (which still gets scratched but at least it is not as obvious as silver paint)

I have the factory painted silver (alumalook) door lid bins and pulls and have had them for quite some time now. Not a scratch to date and the wife wears bracelets, rings, etc..

Key is a GOOD paint job. Since these are factory I am sure the paint process is top notch and very scratch reisitant.
