I have a 2001 Boxster 986, all of the EVAP diagrams that I find don't reflect what I have on my boxster. The carbon canister has no valve integrated in it and has not lines coming out of the bottom. I am trying to determine what valves I need to replace for this system. I have the one valve under the drivers air manifold and the fuel vapor valve on the gas pipe goose-neck. Are those the only two valves with EVAP system? Any help would be appreciated I am getting P0486 error codes

P0486 ?

That does not show in any of factory service manuals. Are you using a Porsche specific tester?

There were at least 5 different EVAP canisters used in Boxsters.

You may end up having to add parts to put a working system together.

Give your dealer your VIN and they should be able to guide to the replacement parts to make it work.

P0446 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Function) – Below Limit

Possible causes:

– Purge air line blocked
– Flow resistance of EVAP canister too high
