HI All

I have Porsche 996 TT modified to 1300HP

The car was running perfectly and drove more than 6000KM

never had any problems except last week when i braked hard the engine stalled

now the car wont start but it cranks

after serveral test i found that fault in camshaft sensor Bank 1

replaced it and still doesnt start

tested the DME to sensor voltage it 12V but when testing the DME out is 5V ?

how come at the end of wire is 12V and beggining of it is 5V ?

p0343 porsche fault code 112 - phase sensor 1 camshaft

any ideas please

Many thanks

If it's definitely the same wire, it is either open circuit or (less likely) the ground is not a good one.

forgot to say that when connecting direct wires from ecu to camshaft sensors

a boost pressure sensor comes as a fault in diagnose and still not starting ?

Anything else happen leading up to this (flooding, rain ect)?

Check the big harness connectors on the right of the engine bay, re-seat them after making sure all of the pins look good. Check the ECU ground. I'm thinking the sensor is a symptom not the cause.

when i pull the fuel pump relay the car starts for 5 seconds only

nothing happened only when ever i use to brake the speedometer reaches 20km/h the engine stops but this time i braked so hard from 220km/h to 40 and the engine stops working till now

Hello

I am trying to verify the location of the camshaft position sensor A on 987.1 06 cayman s. Also where the ECU is so I can do physical inspection of wires. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have changed spark plugs and fuel filter and AOS.
