<_< There is a streak on the window at the driver's side after the opening and closing. I understand that it may be caused by some dirt on the window regulator pad. I guess the dealer can take the door apart and change the regulator pad. But the problem is that I am not comfortable with them taking the door apart. I am worried that more noise and rattles will be created after having the door is being taken apart. What do you think?

This seems to be a common problem with the 996. I get them on both windows. I'm taking the car for an oil change and I'll have them look at it for a second time.

There are several felt pads on the regulator which collect grease. You can see one in the middle of the white pulley. They are removed or replaced. It is no big deal to take the door panel off.

Since the door lock of my car has to be changed. I guess I'll have the mechanic to have a look at the window as well. By the way, when they change the lock, do they have to take apart the door anyway?

I also notice that the rubber lining of the window is leaking water into the inside of the door. Should I have those changed as well?
