So i have two cars, one 987.2 and one 996 turbo.

The 987.2 im able to connect to and run diagnostics, alter configuration and so on.

But now i tried connecting to my 996 turbo, but there is no turbo option on my list, just GT2, GT3 and 996

When trying both 996 and gt2 i only get timeout on all modules. (code 11070)

Im attaching a screenshot of my options, is there anything im doing wrong?

I got software version 18.150.500

The 996 Turbo shares the same control units as the 996. I use the 996 for 996TT and it works fine.

If you are getting a timeout on all modules then something is wrong with your cable, or your software.

I'll echo what Loren is saying.  No problems connecting to a 996T.  It may also be a problem with your VCI.

FWIW, v18.150.500 is a fake.  18.100 was the last official release of the software.  Try running Regedit.  It will likely take you straight to the registry value which has been manipulated.

Thanks guys, actually when i came home and plugged it in my cayman i got the same timeouts, and on the second attempt i was able to connect.

So i guess ill give it some extra tries with the 996 configuration and see if im able to connect.

Try removing the USB and OBD2 cables from the VCI. Spray the connectors with some contact cleaner, wipe off the excess, and reconnect. A poor connection will cause the error you are getting.
