From my research, looks like this could be Clutch Master Cylinder, Slave, or even Throwout Bearing. Attaching video.

Symptoms:
-2/3 down, distinctive click or pop sound.
-no affect on gears or clutch performance
-intermittent...as it happened for 2 days few months back and went away....now it's back
-same click no matter gear, engine off, and weather independent

I welcome opinions! I don't track and car has 30k.

Sometimes there can be a binding in the pedal mechanism - check for debris, clean and lightly lubricate the bushings.

Also, check the clutch power spring (item 9) for binding or wear.

Thanks.  Took a look at your suggested action.  After hearing sound again, it definitely feels like it is coming from master cylinder area (vs in pedal housing or slave).

Safe bet to start with replacing that?  Just haven't heard anyone say they hear a click with this part...usually a squeak or squeal...right?
