:( Hi, I am in a real trouble,

My car is a Boxster 1997 with no air bag in the door.

The problem I have is that since yesterday I can not open the drivers door from the inside and the outside. I tried with the key and the remote control it sounds but nothing happens, so I don’t know what to do. I understand that the instructions to remove the door panel is considering the door open, so DO YOU KNOW AN EMERGENCY PROCEDURE TO OPEN THE DOOR IN THIS CASE?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Thank you, how can I find this: TSB 6/98 5737 Inner Door Release Inoperative (dated 12-17-98).

All TSBs are available to view (here) online to Contributing Members.

Well good news, by the way, half of good news.

Today I just click the alarm on and off and the drivers door OPEN FROM OUTSIDE!!!! SO I AM HAPPY AGAIN, I reviewed the inside and I found that the door handle can not open the door from inside, looks like it moves only the half of the regular movement, so

WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST, WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT AND WHAT IS HAPPENING?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

GONZALO

The Porsche TSB is 4 pages of how to fix it. It requires new parts and the drivers side parts are different from the passenger side parts.

You can view the TSB by becoming a Contributing Member (a minimum $25 donation) or you can take the care to a shop and have them perform the procedure.
