hi all, I own a 2003 boxster  (4 years) with current miles 178K. When I bought it had 148K and the triptonic light was (and is) coming on regularly - the previous ownwer told me that it is a sensor issue. Last few drives I noticed that when im reducing speed to stop (ie stopping at traffic lights or to park) and the engine is nearly at low rev the revs are fluctuating by few hundrends and it feels that the car is kicking (gear slip maybe). Im not tecnhical or very familiar with engines and gears, but maybe you can give some comments so I can understand the extend of the problem.

thank you from the tiny - medd island of Cyprus

Could be several things, when was the trans last serviced (fluid and filter change), and have you had the car scanned for codes using a Porsche specific scan tool?
