For the DIY folks, we sometime might need to use the PST2 system to detect/adjust the car system or disable the Air bag light ..ect. If you notice, the ODBII code reader capabilities are very limited.

Yet, the system is expensive, but if we all chip-in and share the cost. It will be better.

So what do you all think? Is this a good idea or not?

The local dealer has 3 of them. I already talked to them about buying one, since they have several PIWIS testers. They are going to keeep the older PST2 testers.

I do not think you can buy a used PST2 anymore since it has been replaced by the PIWIS. You can buy a refurbished PST2 but it is very expensive without an exchange unit.

There might be an alternative. Stay tuned.

Has anyone bought the laptop based PST 2 tester and from whom, how much can someone expect to pay? thanks :help:
