Pcm 2.1A corrupt software 2005 cayenne

Hi there,  im new to the site so thanks for having me. The problem i have is the stereo is overlapping on the screen, if u have it on nav and go to main or audio it like has all the 3 screen displays at once, so i called  becker autosound and tom told me  the problem was corrupt software. 

My question is can i reinstall the software myself and what do i need to do the job, just did not want to pay 700.00 to fix at the shop. Thanks

Hi .actually mine was the same. Needs a new display. Nothing to do with software

Where did ya buy your display from

Mine i bought from a vendor in eBay.

But it was some time ago. Maybe you could even find a used unit or you change to the new high tech units with touchscreen etc.

I have the same problem. Finding a replacement screen is not as easy as you would think. Found one on eBay from another Cayenne and the connection was wrong. Make sure you pull the model number from the display before you order a new one. Good video here on replacing the old one

Ok will try and find the number first, i looked on ebay and ya theres a lot of diff ones  what did yours cost
