Looking at a Carmon Red Metallic 997 with what was described as a Boxster Red interior.

The color combination appeals to me on some level but I don't see that color interior listed for the 997 or Boxster in 2005.

is this a custom interior color?

Not sure if this helps but I have the Boxster Red leather interior on my 2003 Boxster. The Porsche code is ME. That code is found in the paperwork which originally accompanied the car when I took delivery from the factory.

IIRC that colour became a more expensive, special order (custom) on the Boxster from 2005.

I have also read terracota used. Not sure which color it is.

Any idea how many of this color combo were produced?

In 2005 997 the factory "red" color was called Carrera Red.

If it was a custom color then it could be anything.

M30 is the color code for the Boxster Red leather interior.

Interesting. Knowing how precise the Germans were back in 2002, it couldn't be that they made a mistake on the delivery documentation for my car. See attached.

Do you know if they change the code for the same colour for different models/build years?

"ME Boxster Red Special Leather" is how it was ordered in the 2002 Order Guide for the whole car.

"M30" is how individual parts are ordered.
