Hello folks,

I have been having this 02 sensor issue for a while and hope someone would be able to guide me in the right direction.

currently my car is throwing a code:

P0050: H02S Heater control circuit bank 2 sensor 1 - No signal communication, Test conditions are not complete, Fault currently active and is not causing a DTC light.

The above code was retrieved with the Durametric.

A little history. I first got this code back 2 years ago and swapped the 02 sensor with an aftermarket Bosch sensor. ( folks have mentioned on this board that this is basically an OEM sensor)

30 minutes of driving later the same code shows up. Then I thought the sensor maybe faulty so got another one as a warranty replacement and the same thing occurs. I install it and this time 10 minutes later it shows the same fault code. What are the odds that both sensors are bad?

Took it to the stealers and they told me that I need an 02 sensor (duh).. I had told them I put a new one in and they said that you need an OEM one.

Now before I go in a goose chase and throw in an OEM one, has anyone experienced the same issue? or is there something else I am missing here?

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

That code is often caused by wiring or harness connector issues, resulting in a lack of communication between the DME and the sensor.

Thanks JFP for your reply.

The wiring harness you are referring to is the one that the 02 sensor connects to or some where else in the car?

Thanks

would there be a way to test the circuit\wiring?

I was thinking that these car have 2 02 sensors of the same.. would I be able to swap the plugs and see if the code jumps? I am more cautious as I am nor very familiar with electronics and all the stealers want is to throw an OEM sensor in there. They said it could be a clogged cat if they swap the sensor and it still shows up? is this possible?

Thanks in advance
