My 2012 Cayenne hybrid has started coughing right after starting every few days recently.  The check engine light also flashes for a couple of seconds and then goes out.  After that it runs like a dream.  Took it to the local Porsche garage but they can't find anything wrong with it.  Has anyone else had this sort of problem?

If the check engine light is flashing that means there is a emissions fault that would damage the catalytic converters. When the light flashes the car should not be driven (according to Porsche).

The shop should use a Porsche diagnostic tool on the car - if you have a CEL or flashing CEL then there must be one or more fault codes.

It's been in the official Porsche garage for the last three days and they swear there is nothing wrong with it.  They can't find any codes.  They've asked me to video it the next time it happens.  I'm at my wits end, because if Porsche themselves can't find the problem, what is left for me to do?  I was hoping that someone on here might have possibly had the same problem.

Had a similar problem with my 09. Turned out to be a fuel pump going bad. Can't remember if it showed a code or not. It did it for about a month before it went out.
