Hi All

I had the common leak on the transfer case on my 996.2 tiptronic. I have stripped it all done and got the replacement gaskets and 'o' rings and now building up again.

The only thing I don't have and is not in the Porsche Workshop manual is the torque settings for all the bolts I need to put back in.

I have found on another forum that the case bolts are torqued to 19lb ft, hex bolts holding the gears in place are 38lb ft.

Can anyone confirm this before I put it all back together?

Picture shows the part of the gasket that has gone (think this is usual).

Thanks

Thanks Loren

That was a great help, I'm now at the stage shown in the picture

Do you have the torque for

1. Holds the left and right gear...currently @ 39lb ft

2. Holds the plastic oil tray underneath the gear...currently 10lb ft

and by the way many thanks

Managed to slice my thumb putting the gears back on.....
