Change Struts, Springs, shocks and Rear Sway Bar this weekend drink.gif

Quite a job w/o Lift, and hot humid weather, but glad it's done.

Anyway, in the tear down, One item missing, that caused a little issue with top of strut nut becoming rusted and some watering getting in unprotected area near Left Side Strut and Wiper motor/linking

Part the was missing was the Round Plastic black Strut Cover.
In between the three nuts holding the strut Top hat in place.

I've looked through the PET numerous time to no avail, If some one could point me to right page or part number it would be appreciated.
I want to replace it so as to not letting water in in the future.

I will post pic's of car done and on the ground wink.gif in a day or two.

Not a job for the faint of heart, but worth it by all means.

Mike

THanks

Mike

I looked at every page of PET, so it you could tell number and page that would be great.

THanks

No, it's a round plastic cover that you remove to get to 10 before you loosen assembly to drop out to remove strut.   It's under the hood covers that are to the left and right of battery cover.

Thank you,

Mike

someone gave me a old part #99970342940, the new part number is 99970345740 which I see isn't the same in that it has a slot in it. kind of defeats the purpose of sealing moisture.

Thanks for the help,, I learned a lesson on how to read the PET for un pictured items.

Yeah, many times small items are not pictured or numbered. You also can pay attention to quantity as that will tell you how many are used per car.
