windows don't drop on unlatching the soft top and no movement at all on top when holding switch in. I have replaced the two sensors behind the interior light , hand brake light is on , fuses D3 and B6 are ok , could the double relay ( 986.618.111.02 ) cause the aforementioned problem or am I missing something. Don't want to spend £130 odd to find it isn't that.

Any ideas ? Cheers for any help.

cheers Wizard , is this referring to a Boxster ? The control unit link takes me to a BMW replacement unit ?

If it is for the Boxster I will get hunting for it tomorrow. Another hour upside down under the dash :-)

great Wizard , many thanks for your trouble , Think it does all point to the big relay so will try a new one. If it cures it I will let you know :-)

I can't imagine why I kept that link for future reference, but ..... !

You will presumably be testing the relay to ensure that it really is duff ?

I am sure I saw a diagram of the double relay with instructions how to test it with a meter but cannot find it again , was it on this site or did I find it at random ? Off out to buy a test meter anyway and hope someone points me to it :-)
