this are the results from the duramtric inside instrument cluster and electronics

Work Log-2017-04-04_08-24-21-PM.htm

This problem remains perplexingly odd.  The car's computer system show no faults, yet it seems to be registering a fault on the instrument display.  If you had a headlight servo motor issue, where should be faults, if wiring was shorted or disconnected, there should be faults.  But there aren't any.

You guys are awesome, i took it to a place and we are missing #18 from the back diagram that JFP put in the thread.

I need the part number, they will install it and we are golden!

If anyone can help me that would be awesome.

Easy enough, contact board sponsor Sunset Porsche ( (503) 718-6060) and they will set you up with what you need.

Sensor should be 99763112100 , but check with Sunset for any updated numbers, retail should be about $70 each.

Yup, that little black object is call the level sensor, and retails for around $70-80.  Items # 1 & 2 in this diagram:

That should be correct.  If Sean is on his game, he should have asked you for your VIN to verify that is the most current part (their system is always more current than what we have out in the field).

It looks like 6 and 7. I tend to over buy and then return if needed. Especially on cheap parts like the connectors that seem to be broken here. If you speak the the parts department and show them the pictures you should be fine. Also you can search the internet for 997 Katalog and you will be able to find a diagram of all of the parts along with part numbers.

i just do not know what part to buy! I think it is the other side from the one we are thinking

Call Sunset, tell them which side you need (although I think one fits both sides) and they will confirm what you need.

Looking at the photo again, you might be correct, which would explain why the car has no codes (the sensor is still connected electrically but not mechanically).  If that is the case, the part is a $5 "support", 99634137103.

Page 121 in the link I sent. They could be different front and rear. Best you match the parts to the diagram.
