1999 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet:

It started out as key fobs not working, then button on dash now neither the button nor dash light are not lit.  now the door will not lock manually(key just turns) and no alarm. was having to lock the car up manually and the horn would beep once.  Opened up driver door because window would not go up all the way. Found a micro switch unsecured.  Tried activating it with my hand and nothing happened.  checked the fuses, all good. also checked wiring at micro switch and it is getting power.... anyone have any ideas.  Would a code reader tell me where my problems lie and why its not working.

One beep means you have one or more alarm zones open. Two beeps means you have an alarm system fault.

Durametric or PIWIS can immediately identify which zone or component has failed.

Without the diagnostic everything is just expensive guesses.
