 Hi everyone,

Long story short, sent a head out to have new valves, guides, and seats installed because the customer let his teen son drive the car unsupervised. resulted in  bending a bunch of valves from missing missing 4th going into 2nd at 90 mphs. Can not for the life of me find head bolt torque specs for an '06 C4S 3.8L. none of the other local shops have the specs on hand, looked at google, and through the renntech forums and couldn't find it either. If anyone has this info, It would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Wes,

Screw in 12 M10 Torx screws evenly and tighten according to the prescribed tightening sequence -1-12- . → Initial tightening: 22 ftlb. , loosen all screws in reverse tightening sequence; → Initial tightening: 15 ftlb. ; → Final tightening, 2 x torque angle: 70 °

Screw in and tighten four Torx screws with M6 x 30 captive washers (10.9) -1-4- at the chain slot. Use of a magnetic bit is recommended so that the screw to be fitted in the slot -item 4- cannot fall into the crankcase. → Tightening torque: 9.5 ftlb.
