Chassis number and engine number

Hi all this is my first post and after searching the net for days finding next to nothing I wondered if any can help me with  decoding my chassis and engine number 

 

it's a 1978 930 turbo 

9308800129 chassis

6880151 engine no

The engine serial number 688.... also seems to point to a USA/Canada engine (and perhaps the whole car was USA/Canada).

Thank you for your reply the car is a us model and is a 78 so at least the year on both is good
