Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've been on here...thank the Porsche Gods.  Here recently my wife's cayenne has been throwing a cel. Usually after getting gas it turns itself off. The first time this happened was back in March.  I bought a new gas cap back to see if that was the problem and the light went off and stayed off for 6 months and 10,000 miles.  Here recently it's been coming on with the p12a1 code and now it's showing a p2189 pending. Any ideas?  Could the gas cap be going out again?  Not likely I wouldn't think. Any help would be great.

Hi Loren,

Appreciate the help.  It's an 08, not sure if that matters.  I used a normal obd2 scanner, not durametric.  I'm not seeing much on this code either, mainly why I'm asking for any ideas.  Thanks

Sorry, many codes are Porsche specific so a generic scanner tells us very little.

Need to scan with Durametric or a PIWIS to get correct fault codes.
