the website FAQ says limited to three cars managed by VIN and programmed into the adapter cable. what exactly does this mean ? that once i say for instance do repair work on three porsche's that's it, I can no longer do another one ?

or this means i can only work on three cars in one day ? very confused

You are allowed a total of three VIN's on that model cable, after which it will not accept any more.  If you want unlimited VIN's, get the Pro version.

They did tell me at Duramtric that they would reset the VINs one time.

actually now that i have owned the enthusiast version for several months, there was some sort of hardware glitch that has allowed me to use unlimited vins. even after software and firmware update. i have contacted durametric support about this issue and they said to just keep using it as is.

going in the durametric software and tools, tool info with the adapter connected just gives a blank window.
