Ignition Coil Packs

Has anyone used the coil packs on the link? They look to be good quality but anything could look good on the net. Has anyone used these before? If so how was the quality???

We see a fair number of "knock off" coils, most of which cannot hold a candle to the OEM units and end up having to be replaced prematurely.  They are cheap for a reason, and not a good one.

It's not an easy job putting coil packs in and it's not a job you need to do that often.  You may as well buy OEM parts, like Beru.  They are a bit more expensive, but they will go the distance.  The coil packs in these engines get very hot due to the closeness of the exhaust manifold.

Got it, I kinda figured. OEM was best to stick with. I am going to change my spark plugs out soon and was looking around and stumbled upon those. Thanks for the feedback.

The OEM Beru coils are available from Pelican Parts for a lower price than what you posted

Yes I saw that. I will be ordering from them today. I am finding out it is better to stick with the well know distributors. I am a newbe, trying to learn all I can about my new to me car.

[Hilux2400]

I replaced mine and the plugs when the exhausts were off. It's much easier and it's not the difficult to remove the exhausts.  I found a "wobble" bar was useful on the ratchet wrench as it's difficult to get a straight line.

I have them ordered. I also ordered new tubes w/ o-rings. I am pretty sure I have all kinds of ratchet knuckles that should work. Thank you for the heads up.
