Hi Everyone -- I am new.

My 2005 Cayenne Turbo trunk is indicated as opened on the gauge. However, it is closed and locked tightly.

When I pressed on the button on the trunk lid from the outside, it pulled as if it was going to unlock but it did not.

I opened the cover from the inside and tried to open it manually but it still could not. I pushed it all the way to the right but the trunk wouldn't open. I unplugged and repluged the wire there attempting to reset it but it still wouldn't work. Please see attached photo.

I see read a few posts here but couldn't find a clear exact answer. Fuse #30 and 31 [15] looks good.

What is the issue? Can I at least open it manually? Is there a trunk master sensor where I can reset it?

Thank you!

So the first thing.  Typically the display that says the rear hatch is open is generally for the GLASS portion......this is a known problem where the microswitch.  Typically people either unplug the switch, or adjust the striker on the glass portion.

Now to your problem.  I'd plug everything back in, take it for a quick spin, turn the car off and lock it.  THEN unlock it like normal and try the handle.  If nothing, then crawl in and see if you can actuate it by pushing right.  I've had situations where things "lock out."  a good example is unlocking just the truck prevents me from unlocking any doors until I close the lid and then press the unlock for all doors.
