Is there a way through durametrics to figure out if the actuators are working?  My 2009 GTS w/78k mi has long starts, rough idle for a 3-5sec and then clears up. It will sometimes stumble off idle or low rev's or driving off quickly. When you floor it, it sometimes feels sluggish. Seems to be worse when cold out and mainly cold starts. When warm, it runs better.

I did the fuse/fuel pump check and they were fine. I ended up replacing both pumps anyways(for good measure). I logged all the fuel pressures and it all looks good. Low pressure pumps and high pressure pump out puts are good. MAF signals are good, no CEL or codes.

My guess was the oil heats up and the solenoids actuate the cams better? I see the values in durametrics but, I don't know what is "normal".

The only thing I did not change but, I did clean was the fuel filter.  I kept putting gas in and then shaking and dumping and it was pretty black but, eventually cleared up.

Any thoughts?

You should be able to activate the cam units one at a time with the Durametric software, which will cause the cam timing display to change and impact how the care idles.

Ah, I did not know this!  Could you tell me how to activate them, what screen in Durametrics?

It will not damage anything will it?   Last thing I want is a little valve on piston action :)
