Any thoughts/suggestions/comments on buying these struts for my 03 Boxster S?  Before you go bashing me for looking at less expensive struts, please take into account I am a retired military (enlisted)/disabled vet (unemployable due to PTSD) on a fixed income.

STAGG SHS 4 SHOCKS STRUTS PORSCHE BOXSTER 986 97 98 99 00 01- 04 incl. BOXSTER S  On Ebay.

I want to go with the B6 Bilstein but a bit pricey for me right now.  Cheapest quote I got was 200/224 front/rear each.

TIA.

Gunny.

I've been trying to find info and reviews of this product and can only find listings of this brand's struts for sale. I don't find any reviews. Then I found their web site, . . . the last update on their site was 2013.

I wouldn't have any confidence in purchasing a product made by this company.

Buying used lower miles struts is probably a better way to go.

Same here.  Was just looking at them.  The reviews I read about them came from other car forums like Honda, Subaru, toyota, etc...seemed to work there but they are not Porsche!

Old thread, but any other recommendations?  I bought Bilstein for a 2003 F150 SuperCrew and don't really see the improvement I was looking for.  Now need some shocks for 1998 Boxster and don't want to spend $900+ install.  Any thoughts?

I personally would not use anything but Bilstein or Koni on a Porsche. Unfortunately, unless you can get a discount a complete set will run you about $700 to $1000 in the US.

Installation in the front will require a coil spring compressor (which can be rented) but is not difficult. The rears are even easier and do not require a coil spring compressor.

I would stick with quality suspension parts both for safety and for any potential resale of the car. Just my 2 cents...

Figured that was the right answer.  That said, Koni or Bilstein?  It's a Base Boxster (auto w/ Tip), but came pretty loaded.  Trying to figure out any specs that might be relevant.  Think I have that sticker somewhere...
