Just as an FYI to all who may be interested..

I bought a factory PCM system on eBay for $2500, then got a installation quote from my local dealer for $850.

Well, for $850 I thought I would give it a go myself. For the most part it was a pretty simple install, a few screws here and there. I referred to the TSB posted on this site and it made everything pretty simple. The only thing I did not do is remove the entire headliner to route the antenna wire. For the most part I just ran it along the trim boards, etc. It's not exposed anywhere and should be fine, or I can always have it re-routed later.

Other than that I had to take it into the dealer for activation, it took them 10 minutes and they charged me $100 for one hour of labor. Works like a champ now.

The take home message; it can be done minus the headliner removal in about 3 hours. Total cost was $2611, not bad. Anyone need a used CDR-23?
