Hello,

My car details are a 1999 (T plate) 996 C4, Tiptronic, RHD, originally bought here in UK

My OEM CD player (the Porsche badged CDC 3, 6 x CD holder model) stopped working over the weekend.

It finished playing a CD, then kept trying to load next CD in sequence, the radio head display message was loading

As that did not work, I then tried loading CD slots 1 through 6 using the radio head display buttons, they all said the same message, that is loading

Both the radio and tape player still work OK.

On further investigation, the CD magazine in the front luggage area will no longer eject when you manually press the eject button. Grrr !

I read some Porsche BBs over the weekend and I then replaced fuse D9 with a new 15A fuse (blue in colour, here in the UK), no fix to the issue.  The original D9 15A fuse tested OK BTW.

Now, when I cycle through the sound sources on the radio head display, I see (1) radio, then (2) tape then (3) CDC, I (briefly) get the radio head display message magazine, then it quickly goes back to the radio station information.

Any ideas on the issue and how best to troubleshoot this issue.

On reading the Porsche BBs, issues with the CDC 3 CD changer seem to occur regularly.

Thanks in advance,

Regards, Nick
