Replaced all of the engine mounts - lowers, dogbone plus the transmission mount.  There is still a small idle drop when coming to a stop, but it's no longer transmitted through the car.

completely different car.

When I had my '05, it did the same thing and it drove me crazy.  It was worse when cold.  I wish I could have found root cause and fixed it.

10 bucks says it was the dogbone mount only.  all of the other mounts are under constant load (weight of engine/tranny).

fyi i just replaced mine as well.  i broke it last year and just left the bushing messed up.

When did everyone cave and do do this???!!!!

What did it run and she nice when can it be done without dropping the subframe?

Wish I did it earlier - the car is vibration free.

With all porsche parts and independent shop labor, the cost was 900-1000 USD.

The labor was 5 hours.

Good luck.  If I had a cayenne with vibration when I started the car, I'd change the mounts.  Might be worth starting with the dog bone mount first - its the least expensive one to do.  I did the dog bone, the two lowers and the transmission mount - vibration is gone.

I did the dog bone straight away.

Next those **** engine mounts.

If one is replacing tire rod ends and sway bar end links and bushings I can knock it all out at once.

Might as well. Upper control arms too!

Are there any tricks to doing the lower mounts? I just changed the engine mounts on my 09 Audi A5 and 03 Merc SL500, both of them were easy on one side and a total nightmare to do the other side.

Engine mounts on the Turbo need engine out to change. I had perfect access to my drivers side engine mount when I pulled the turbo, but there was not enough clearance to get the mount out the subframe - the built in threaded bolt prevented it from being removed.
