P4230 Boost pressure electric actuator on 997.1TT

Hi All

My battery died this week in my 997.1 TT (I think killed by a dying Bose amp) and after getting it going again, I went to clear down all the various error codes using my Durametric and noticed a new one

P4230 Boost pressure electric actuator

It may be part of the dead battery mess, but it wouldn't clear down.  Wondered if anyone else had seen it before and what it might mean?

Thanks

I am always circumspect about strange codes that suddenly appear in conjunction with a battery failure.  The code is for your waste gate control, but may be a "ghost code" triggered by the battery failure.  I'd drive the car for a day or two and then try to reset it, or it may clear on its own.

Sadly, the error hasn't gone away - I've cleared it a couple of times, but it keeps coming back.  Anyone got any ideas what it means?

Have your mechanic check the function of your Turbo's waste gate control system.  It make be a sticking gate itself, or the controller.

Stopped by the specialist today - it's either the actuator (I hope) or the turbo corroded and stuck itself.  Hoping it's the actuator as that's going to be much cheaper .... Going in first week in Jan
