Hello good people of Renntech ! This is my debut post.

I've lurked for a couple of years and found solutions here to successfully DIY repair/replace

Driver side mirror

Passenger side window actuator (sheesh! included having to pull out door panels!)

V-belt

Convertible top connectors (the one you can order replacements for)

Change disc rotors and brake pads

Etc.

It's a super community and I'm grateful.

Though I've searched, I can't seem to find anything that specifically addresses this issue and/or the revisions in the 987 over the 986 when it comes to accessing the boomerang clamshell and convertible connectors in order to pop them off, from inside the cabin of a boxster 987-2 when the top is UP and the clamshell fully closed... Buttons totally dead. Dashboard signal showing, convertible fault.... (Probably a micro switch ). How do I get in there??

I've looked through the under the convertible fabric (inside the cabin and at the part of the door closest to the boomerang) to try and locate the boomerang control arm but there appears no way to access it or sight it even. Am I wrong? Has anyone had experiences on a 987-2 with releasing convertible tops in the fully closed position?

Confused
