Adjusting headlight vertical aim

I understand this is covered in owners manual, however here is my specific question...how long of a 5 mm allen/hex key is required to reach the adjuster? Manual refers to stock toolkit tool however I do not have this. It seems too tight for a socket and extension, and my longest non-socket is a T-handle and its not long enough.

A socket and a 4" extension will work (all 1/4" drive).

My adjusters on a 2003 996 require an Allen key.  Removal of the headlight pod requires a 5mm socket which I tape to a 1/4 drive extension bar.  I carry one as part of my toolkit as the original tool has been lost.

 

If you take the pod out it will give you an idea of how to locate the adjusters. The first time I did this it was a bit confusing but there are many videos about on this topic.

Yes, at least 4" extension on the socket needed.

And I think the adjustment turning direction is the opposite from what's noted in the manual.
