On Saturday I was in the middle of replacing the rear window rubber seal (996 545 521 03) on my 1999 C2 coupe and I accidently broke  the metal frame that wraps around both sides and the top of the rear window. The local dealership has the replacment metal frame (I'm picking it up tomorrow) but I need to know if there is anything unusual about replacing the frame? Is there a TSP or set of instructions that details the step by step procedure? Anyone accomplished this DIY before?

Thanks,

Here is all the service manual says:

Place surrounding section on the rear window and press cover trim into groove of the surrounding section.
There is a also a note to be careful and not damage the trim. ;)

With a lot of patience, the old frame came off and the new frame and rubber seal went on just fine. The entire job took one hour.
