It's the optional Bose@ Audio Package ($2120 extra). It's a little lame.

Other than that, the car has been a joy to own.

PDK (Yes, and my first automatic)

Sport Exhaust (check)

Power Sport Seats (check) with Premium Package Plus (check)

Door-Sill Guards, Illuminated (check)

check, check, and check.

Haha ..awesome..  I logged in to do a bit of research on the 991..

I Rented one in L.A  last year and absolutely feel in love with it.(so did my phone)

The only down side i see that it is still a pretty new car..   but perhaps the winter will bring  2012 /13  @ 50-60K range .. hoping and hunting

I  would  only want a PDK with ALL the buttons as well....

I was tempted to order the base stereo on mine... But after some thought I figured the Bose was fine. I hardly use it given that I listed to NPR or my ipod, and don't expect much from the stereo, I do expect a lot from the 400hp as they need to create music for my ears!

My only complaint about the 991 is the sound of the e-brake. Truly the most un-Porsche thing of the car. But given I live in flat Silicon Valley it's not a big deal.

Hope you are enjoying your ride!

E-brake = emergency brake or hand brake or parking brake. All used to describe the emergency brake.

I have the Bose on my 2014 C2S PowerKit. It's just fine. The PSE sounds better!:)

Several guys on Rennlist have replaced the Bose front tweeters with the Burmester tweeters. Not super expensive. And a DIY for a decent car guy with some minimal skills. They all report a significant improvement to the Bose sound.

I've seen threads on the Bose that claim if you turn off all of the processing modes and just run it in straight stereo, it actually sounds better.

Thanks. You are correct. It does sound much better (a natural sound) with just the standard settings.
