2013 Carrera 911 S4 991  What is the correct tire pressure ? The. manual is lower than whats on the car label in the door jam ??

Hey I would go with the sticker on the door. I don't think that changed from year to year. If you are riding on 20's let me know and I will confirm what mine are at. Thinking its 35/42 F/R but don't quote me.

What wheel? Comfort setting or full load? Winter or summer?

 

In the summer, on my 20" Sport Techno (245/35 and 305/30 tires) wheels, I run 36 front and 40 rear. In the very-very hot summer months, I back the rears down to 39.

 

On the track, I keep everything below 40 hot.

This is about my tires and i think Tire pressure too.

 

I bought 2 sets of new Nitto tires (235/35r19 and 305/30r19). Ideally if these tires were used in a "Standard" configuration this would guarantee 70k miiles but since mine is staggered, i was hoping to get close to 20k. But to my surprise, BOTH Rear tires are 2/32 cents already - 11 months after and around 6k miles. Thats strange right? I use the car of work commute only.

 

My fronts are fine, around 8/32 cents on them. The wear is consistent on BOTH tires. Btw, the PSI i set is around 34 on all four tires year around (could this be the problem?)

 

I have had this car (911 Carrera 926 model) for 15k miles now and I have already changed the tires 3 times (counting this one). So please can someone tell me what the issue/s can be?

 

also when I aligned the tires, i was told by the alignment expert that they could get it to align 100%. They were not sure why. Could this be an issue? When I drive, i dont seem to feel any issue such as pulling of car or wobbling of sterring wheel etc. Car runs smooth with some road noise due to the size of the tires I believe.

 

Do you think if I downgrade the rear tires to 275/30r19 the life of the tire would increase? PLEASE HELP!!

Buy a better tire like the Michelin Super Sports, and get an alignment done by the dealership or more competent indy shop. On my 2014 991 C2S I can easily get over 15,000 on the rears.

Now i am planning to drive from Florida to New York,  2 days 12 hours per day and what ever speed I can get it up to without getting caught .

My question is should I make any adjustment  to tire pressure ?  I'm set on COMFORT PRESSURE

according to the manual, comfort setting is good for up to something like 165 MPH. If you expect to go faster than that, get on a raCE TRACK.
