I just bought a 2006 Carrera 4. It saying PCM on the original bill of sale... does that mean I have navigation? When I press the NAV button it is saying NAV is not available. I think the DVD might be missing and I know I can buy them on Ebay, but where is the actual DVD slot. I downloaded the PCM 2.1 manual but the information is very limited and it doesn't tell me where the actual DVD player is located.  Where is the DVD player?

Yes you have it, your just missing the DVD. It's located in the trunk, just look in straight ahead and you will see a release latch just above the tire well.

Sorry I still can't find. I have a Carrera 4 (2006), and it appears that the location of the DVD player is different compared to the regular Carrera. I am reading on page 151 all it is saying that the DVD drive for navigation are on the rear wall of the luggage compartment, but it doesn't tell me how to access and the illustration next to it doesn't tell me exactly where it is on the wall. I have opened every compartment and lid I can find from the battery down the tools compartment.  If somebody that has a Carrera 4 or 4S could help me where and how to access the DV Player for navigation that would be great.

Is the navigation DVD player located here? see picture. And if the answer is yes how do I open this vertical compartment?  I have a Carrera 4 2006navigation.jpg

As far as I can see you do not have navigation, the DVD player should be mounted vertically next to the box you have highlighted which is the amplifier box for the audio system.

If I could paste a picture here I would but I cannot find how the h*ll to do it!

Ok, thanks,  I guess that's weird.  I have the navigation and map buttons on my system, but not DVD Navigation player...  okay that's disappointing,  I appreciate the information.

The navigation dvd-box is situated right above what you have cirkled - behind the fancy plastic-cover, which you just pull, just above. At least it is on mine, which is a 4S/2006, so probably the same.

Would post a pic if I new how - but I'm sure you can figure it out without the pic.

PCM is just a head unit, it will have all the buttons but you need the corresponding modules much as phone, nav, sat radio for it to function.
