Hoping someone might be able to offer some advice.

The ABS light comes up on my Cayenne on starting the engine, followed the PSM light. Having thoroughly searched the problems online and trying to diagnose the issue, I'm now looking at getting a replacement part. When checking the car with a Porsche diagnostic tool, it is unable to communicate with the ABS module.

First though, I'd like to check the fuse. Could anyone point me to where this is located? I can't find the corresponding number to the pump in the manual.

If the fuse appears to be ok, the next step is the replacement pump/control module. The part number is 7L0907379E.. Could anyone tell me what the implication would be of replacing with a part number ending in a different letter? Sorry if it's a silly question.. I'm normally pretty good at replacing the parts but this one has stumped me!

Thanks,

Kayleigh

Welcome to RennTech :welcome:

When you had the vehicle connected to the Porsche diagnostic tool, did you try recoding the module to the car just to make sure it just didn't "get lost" in the communications system?  That module is about 450 Euros or so, so I would really want to make sure it is defective before replacing it.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

We did try looking into recoding but the problem is we couldn't communicate with the module - it's like there was no power getting to it as it just wasn't getting picked up.

The problem started when temperatures were extremely cold when we travelled to Europe earlier this year.

Could you offer any guidance on the part numbers too please? All I know is that the part number 7L0907379Brelates to the 3.2 model, but could I replace with anything other than a part number ending in E that is currently in my car?

Really appreciate your help.

As parts vary in different locations around the globe, I would suggest having a dealer run your VIN to make sure which parts actually belong in the vehicle.
