Radio Replacement Double DIN

I am looking to replace my radio w/ a double DIN unit that has GPS and bluetooth.  My antenna is broken and FM comes in and out, shop said only way to solve that is to replace windshield, so i was thinking i could stream pandora or a playlist off my phone.  

In the past i have always had Alpine units, anyone got any recommendations and any gotchas i should be looking out for?

Not looking to break the bank, but would also like the porsche emblem to show up when u power on the radio, my friend has that on his Audi

I installed about a year ago a JVC ( JVC KW-NT810HDT) nav, hands free phone, i-pod player, DVD, back up camera capabilities, etc.  I liked the unit because it had a bigger screen.  It's a touch screen, no knobs.  Bigger screen, but some times it's hard to touch the screen at the right place if you're at speed.  I would do the same thing again, it has a NavTec data base which isn't as good as the Garmin based units, at least in my mind.  When I go cross country I'll take a hand held Garmin and often it has better information than the JVC unit.  So far NavTec hasn't updated the datat base, only the firmware.

 

I bought the JVC unit from Crutchfield, they're good to work with and have great customer support.  The unit was $999.00.

i bought a refurb unit for my Boxster for about $500.  It is a Pioneer Avic Z140 BH.  http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-Z140BH?tab=firmware

It is an older unit and is probably no longer available.  Going with a refurb resulted in a substantial cost savings.

You could also try a single din unit with a proclip or other holder for your smart phone (which updates nav maps automatically).
