Hi All,

I'm in need of some help before the car goes off to a car audio specialist. I've run a search on this forum and others but I've been unable to find the answer.

I have a 1998 996 Carrera with the 10 speaker system and factory amplifier.

I have installed a GT3 centre console delete and as such, I have had to relocate the climate control system to the upper dash.

I've also had to remove the PCM1 system and replace the horseshoe surround to support a single DIN head unit.

With the PCM1 removed, I'm left with four connectors. Two of which (wider blue and black connectors) are not needed as far as I know.

The multicoloured connector and the black small connector fit into the adaptor I bought. I've seen others use the same adaptor.

This then connects to the harness that came with the new head unit. Once the 4 RCAs are connected, I've then attached the blue remote wire to the remote signal wire from the head unit.

The head unit powers up as normal but I get no sound.

Can anybody help?

Hi Richard,

I've tried that but I still get no sound.

It's going into the workshop in a few weeks.
