I'm going on two great years of ownership on my 2003 C4S and I have kept up on the maintenance but, what would you recommend as far as maint to be performed on it? My car has a tad bit over 20K miles on the speedo and I think I read about flushing radiators with new a/f and changing out brake fluid too. Now I've looked somewhat at the scheduled mile maint list and I'm a little confused on what's suppose to be done. What do you suggest to be done or do I need to accomplish anything and just drive it. I've changed my oil recently so, thats done. Any ideas, Loren or whoever would like to answer?

TIA! :P

I tend to follow the factory maintenance schedule which is sometimes a little hard to interpret. Here is how I see it:

1. Do the Minor Maintenance at the prescribed intervals.

2. Do the Major Maintenance at the prescribed intervals.

3. Do the Annual Maintenance for all items the meet the "annual" test that were not performed in either the Minor or Major maintenance in the last year.

4. Do any Additional Maintenance items the meet the "additional" test that were not performed in either the Minor, Major or Annual maintenance.

I don't have access to my car right now, but isn't there a maintenance manual with everything spelled out there?

I'd like suggest to suggest that more frequent oil changes -- certainly won't hurt. Ditto with a tranny flush, a collant flush and replacement of the air filter about every othe oil change.

I change my own oil every 5K and a new air filter every 10K. I drain the transmission fluid and coolant once a year. Its a nice Saturday afternoon job.

Check tires every week for correct pressure

Also keep your car cleaned, polished and waxed maybe twice a year...But somehow, I feel like I am preaching to the choir!

Antifreeze should last lifetime but I would change it at about 45-60k.

Brake flush is every 2 yrs so you're due. Inspect pad and rotor for wear and brake hose for chaff/leak.

Change air filter at 30k and pollen filter at 15k.

Oil change every 15k or sooner (10k for me).

Spark plug / belt every 60k.

Of course, do forget to inspect all suspension, cooling hose, brake hose, belts, fluids, exhaust system for leaks at every service.

I am the second owner of my car. I have the owner's manual, radio manual etc., but no maintenance details. Is there somewhere this is posted? I have a 2000 C4.

Near the top of the page... click on the link that says: Carrera/GT3 Maintenance Checklists and choose your model year range US/Canada or RoW.
