When I bought my car 7 years ago, the PO mentioned that my car had GT3 shocks and springs. Now, I am considering selling the car and want to mention that in my ad, but how do I know for sure that I have those components? What do I look for? The car is lowered and is definitely a stiffer ride than a standard 911.

Thanks!

:welcome:

GT3 shocks are adjustable coil-overs. They look similar to this:

Standard shocks and coils have no adjustment and look similar to this:

Thanks!  This helps a lot, although I'm thinking I do not have the GT3 components like I was led to believe.  I drove many other 911's before picking this one and the stiffer, lower ride was a big reason why I bought the one I did.  I wonder what mods were actually done to it?  Maybe I'll get some pics this weekend when I have the wheels off and post them.

I would not be surprised if your car is lowered with H&R springs as they are quite inexpensive while providing much improved cornering abilities with a stiffer ride.

Look for the H&R acronym on the front springs.

You may have the Porsche option ROW M030 suspension on yours. The ROW M030 kit upgrades your car to European spec sport suspension. It increases the suspension's firmness and reduces body-roll. Typically the front is lowered 20mm (3/4 inch), and 10mm (1/2 inch) in the rear.

The H&R Springs lower it approximately 1.5 inches.

If you show us photos of the ride height and the suspension components, we may be able to tell you with more certainty.
