Finally got my CTT back after a head gasket job, new & rebuilt turbo and timing chain. Stealership went into receivership before work was done but fortunately they allowed mech to finish assembly. Mech informed me all went well but cyl 7 misfire is coming in. Swapped plugs and coils to different cyl to troubleshoot. Still came in as cyl 7 misfire. I see from a quick search this problem could be a simple connection or fuse issue. Unfortunately I'm at work for 5 more days and can't fix CTT for wife. If someone could fast track me to the potential fuse I can try to guide my wife through the hunt

Well after I ordered an injector for the suspect misfire issue, upon getting ready to install said injector I find that the wires to the injector harness were broken. A poorly placed 'zap strap' cause the wires to be stressed and contributing to the fatigue and eventual breakage. Soldered the wires and put all back together and the CTT runs like a champ.

You are talking about the cable  that goes to the connector from the coil i guess? Nice you got your CTT running fine. I have done head gasket on my CS myself but i did not het the timing right yet. Why did you change timing chain?

I got the timing chain replaced as the mech doing the rebuild said it was stretched which contributed to the cams being a bit off time. I kept the old chain and all other ancilliary parts.

Yea, congrats on getting the job completed. Could have been bad with the dealer going out of business. Did the mechanic also replace all of the plastic guides for the timing chain? I imagine he did and wondering how much wear the guides showed and what your mileage on them was? I read a story a while back of someone pulling the timing cover off to find that the lower part of one of the plastic guides had become brittle enough to break off and fall down.

yes all the guides were replaced as well, when I get back from vacation I will look at the old ones and maybe post pics with how many km/mi they had on them
