My CD changer was not working so picked up a similar one on EBay. Can I just remove my original and plug in the replacement without any problems from the on board computer? Or do I have to have the computer reprogrammed ?

The model needs to match models that were used in your model car. In that case it is plug 'n play.

If not, then you need to tell us the model and year of your car and which sound system you have. Plus the model of the CD changer that you bought.
