Headlamp Alignment Problem

Hello everbody,

 

I'm looking for a circuit diagramm between Potentiometer and the headlamp alignment Actuator.

My Porsche Cayenne is Mod. 2003 without Xenon.

 

The problem is the following:

If I move the potentiometer then one headlight goes up and the other goes down. That means somewhere is something wrong polarity.

Basically i need the pin assignments from Potentiometer and the Headlight mounting plate plug (12-pin).

 

For now I have the connector asignment for cars with xenon, but this is not the right because i think xenon works with PWM regulation.

 

 

It would be great if someone could help.

If you don't have HID light how are they moving? What am I missing?

Not optional headlamps have a manual controller under the light switch to adjust the height depending on the load. There is something wrong with it, unfortunately i have no diagram available in order to make it easier, it is probably the adjustingknob itself, but i'm not 100% sure.

wvicary, in Europe even the non Xenon headlamps have a manual adjustment knob for aiming within a small range for different loads which slightly tilt the vehicle. You know how you get that **** truck with cargo in the back or hauling a camper, pulling a trailer, etc... with lights tilted up that blind you?  I sure wish we had that feature over here on the non Xenon cars even though most drivers would still be too stupid to use it. It is a nice feature.
