maf plug problem

I was trying to remove the airbox and can't get the mass air flow sensor plug off. Here's a picture of the plug

There's a tab on the other side of the connector that you have to depress really hard with your finger/thumb and then you can wiggle the connector out.

A two-handed operation on this one.

Pull back on the tabs (orange arrows) while squeezing in on the tabs (green arrow) buttons. Once on each side.

It will likely be easier when than cold - plastic gets stiff and brittle when cold.

Sometimes helps to push toward plenum to relieve pressure until you feel the back side clip release.

I always find it easier to take the MAF sensor out the housing first, and then unclip the plug from the sensor, as you can see the clips much better.
