1. Had problems indicating information on oil level not available, that went away a few hours but is back.

2. Now Radio tuner appears, is connected but sound in MUTE (no sound).

3. Phone connects, here voice over PCM and then the screen goes black.

4. Trip to the dealer.

5. Any ideas???

Dealer could not get me in.

I was told the PCM needs an update and my PCM is rebooting.

The problem seems to have disappeared, but again cannot read oil level.

Dealer apt scheduled.

This is a relatively common issue, though it seems more prevalent in the 11s and 12s than 13+. It does seem to be happening more with the 14s though and I keep hearing that it is related to XM and/or iPhones running iOS 8.x.

At least for the older units it seems that people go through a few rounds of software updates and resets, but ultimately end up with a new PCM being installed.
