I have the i980 for MB and i'm happy with it. Fine for manufacture specific code reading and clearing but that's about it.

Can you reset the service reminder with this devise? If it does not it seems quite useless for a DIY, this is what i think about it.

For my Benz i can't reset anything. I also have Vagcom and i think both are almost identical.

No, you can't reset the service reminder, but you can read fault codes in most modules, and reset the fault memories. You can also read live data from the control modules. No, it isn't as good as the Durametric, but is a handy tool to have for the money.

I have the BMW version, and have found it very useful on my kids Beemers.

That's what i mean. If you could read tranny temp and reset the gearbox i would say go for it but you can't.

As i understand you can reset Codes but not the Service Light ......

I bought one of these Tools. Try it this evening. I would like to say it can do a lot for this small money. I had a lot of hidden Codes. Most of them not serious. Found out which parking sensor is faulty. Nice tool

I Played arround with the Tool on my Cayenne S and the Turbo.

For someone like me, who is not a mechanic or car Specialist its giving me a lot of usful Information.
